Nestled in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains of northern New Mexico, Taos is a small town brimming with history, culture, and heritage. Taos was originally founded as a trading outpost for the neighboring Taos Pueblo, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, continuously inhabited by the Tiwa-speaking people for more than a millenia.
